NAR: Slowdown in Home Prices Ahead Despite Q3 Growth
Home prices continued to climb in the third quarter of this year, but the upward trend may finally be coming to an end, according to the National Association of Realtors®’ latest quarterly report. Higher mortgage rates are starting to weigh on home price growth, though practically every major metro saw home prices rise in the third quarter. House hunters have been expanding the scope of their home search over the past year, moving a median of 50 miles away from their previous property—a record distance, according to the National Association of Realtors®’ 2022 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers. Top Claim Against Agents: Failure to Disclose

“Failure to properly disclose can lead to misrepresentation claims, ranging from fraud to negligence and, in some states, innocent misrepresentation,” Deanne Rymarowicz, associate counsel at the National Association of Realtors®, warns in the latest “Window to the Law” video. She cites a court case in which an agent was ordered to pay $170,000 after being found to have shown a “reckless disregard for the truth” by not disclosing a listing’s prior water damage. Read More

DMAR Real Estate Market Trends Report | NOV. '22
As the Denver market normalizes, active inventory declined slightly to 7,290 homes on the market at month’s end. However, this is an increase of 115.94 percent year-over-year. While this number reads as a jump, the current inventory is still less than the pre-pandemic inventory numbers of 8,557 active listings in October 2019. Read More
