DMAR Staff Volunteer Day
On May 13th, DMAR held its first-annual Staff Volunteer Day in partnership with the Denver Housing Authority's (DHA) Resident and Community Services Department. Our team put our core values into action as they spent the day cleaning up community gardens at 12 DHA properties throughout the city to help prepare the resident gardens for planting. Community residents have reached out to DHA staff thanking DMAR for their efforts and stating the areas look beautiful.
DHA’s mission is to serve residents of Denver by developing, owning and operating safe, decent and affordable housing in a manner that promotes thriving communities. DMAR Chair-elect, Milford Adams, is closely involved with the DHA’s volunteer program through DHA’s nonprofit, Friends of DHA.
