DMAR CEO Ann Turner Honored by NAR

The National Association of REALTORS® inducted DMAR CEO, Ann Turner, into its exclusive and honorable Dr. Almon R. (Bud) Smith, RCE, AE Leadership Society.

Turner was one of only two recipients awarded with this honor on November 10, 2019 at the NAR annual conference. She is recognized for bringing credit to the profession of Association management through her personal involvement in advancing the purposes of the organization at the local, state and national level.

“I am humbled and honored by this award,” said Turner. “Working in the REALTOR® Association world for many years has been a very rewarding experience due to the quality of people I have met and their sincere desire to give back to the community.”

The award recognizes Turner for providing leadership in ways that have benefited DMAR, its members, or other Association executives, and for making significant contributions that have advanced the organization in meaningful ways. Ann Turner is being recognized for excelling in the Association management profession by demonstrating uncommon leadership, a willingness to help others, and acceptance of a responsibility to constantly improve. Furthermore, Turner has a proven track record of identifying and sharing innovative ideas.

“Ann Turner serves as a role model for all association executives for embodying exceptional integrity, innovation and collaboration, humble leadership and an amazing power to make positive change for the betterment of the organization, its members and the real estate community at large. Anyone who has had the good fortune to know Ann will most definitely admire her deeply,” said Euan Graham, Chairman of the DMAR Board of Directors.

DMAR is Colorado’s largest REALTOR® Association comprised of over 7,000 real estate professionals and is The Voice of Real Estate® in the Denver Metro area. Over the past seven years, under Turner’s leadership, DMAR has seen unparalleled growth starting with the successful merger of the Denver, North Metro, Jefferson County and Douglas Elbert REALTOR® Associations.

Prior to DMAR, Turner was the CEO of the Jefferson County Association of REALTORS® where she introduced many new programs and services that helped create a progressive and financially secure organization. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the Colorado Society of Association Executives and the Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the Advisory Board for the Association Executive Institute for the National Association of REALTORS®. Turner is the Association Executive Representative for the Leadership Council of the Colorado Association of REALTORS® and has also served in an advisory capacity for many task forces and workgroups at the local, state and national level of the REALTOR® organization. Turner is an alumnus of University of Colorado Boulder.
