On December 1, 2015 the Conference Committee reconciling the House and Senate versions of the Surface Transportation Bill issues released their report. The Conference Committee report uses the House Language that eliminated an extension of the G-Fee as a financing mechanism. While this is an important step in the process, the final report still must be passed by both the House and Senate and be signed into law by the President. The House of Representatives Rules Committee met this Wednesday, and it is expected the Transportation Bill will be placed on the Calendar for Floor Action on Thursday, December 3, 2015. The Senate is expected to act on the Conference Report following the House action.
The Call for Action will remain open until its scheduled end date of Friday, December 4th. This will allow any states that have not yet reached the 20% participation rate one last opportunity to reach out to those members who have not taken action.
DMAR is currently at 12.9% participation rate, which means that only 586 of our members took action. Please ACT now & share with your sphere of influence and help us protect the industry.
