About the Speaker
Matt Carlson has more than 20 years of experience in economic/community development and strategic management consulting. His expertise includes business recruitment and assistance, international business development, strategic planning, industrial location and private real estate development.
In his role with the Town of Parker he is responsible for identifying relocation and growth prospects and assisting those organizations through the relocation process. He is also responsible for maintaining relationships with regional partners at the state, county and municipal level.
Prior to joining the Town of Parker, Mr. Carlson lead the economic and community development efforts of several large communities in the Southeastern United States where he oversaw efforts to attract new industry and retain existing businesses and was instrumental in establishing west Atlanta as an area of rapid growth in the retail and commercial sectors.
Mr. Carlson holds a bachelor's degree in Management Sciences from Pepperdine University and a Master of Business Administration from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
