Karen Stuart is a former Mayor of the City and County of Broomfield, known for her regional collaboration and strong support of FasTracks. While in elected office, she served as Chair of the Northwest Parkway Public Highway Authority, and had leadership roles with the Denver Regional Council of Governments, the US 36 Mayors and Commissioners Coalition, and the Metro Mayors Caucus. She currently serves on the FasTracks Citizens’ Advisory Committee.

Stuart is the Executive Director of Smart Commute Metro North , a non-profit, transportation management organization serving the north metro region and is the administrator of the North Area Transportation Alliance (NATA) a collaborative private partnership formed to work with communities and businesses promoting transportation options and improvements, fostering economic vitality and enhancing mobility in the Metro North region.
