DEADLINE TO APPLY: Friday, October 27th
DMAR announced it will now begin to accept its second round of applications for program support through its DMAR Gives charitable foundation.
Founded in January 2022 by the DMAR Board of Directors and DMAR Gives Committee as part of the Colorado Association of Realtors® (CAR) Foundation, DMAR Gives is a charitable foundation that builds on DMAR’s mission of addressing housing-related issues and educating the community on wealth-building through homeownership.
This new round of funding from DMAR Gives will provide financial help to programs that improve the quality of life for Coloradans through homeownership and housing initiatives that work to create a path towards stable housing as well as provide housing-related disaster relief.
Last year, the program support was able to benefit four organizations: Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation, Crisis Center and Rebuilding Together Colorado as well as Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountain, which ultimately provided funding for a family impacted by the Marshall Fire.
Funding requests provided by written application will be considered by the DMAR Gives Committee. Funding decisions will continue to be based on the annual budget, available funds, scale of impact and whether the request falls within the Mission Statement and Giving Policy of DMAR Gives. Organizations that receive a grant must submit a report confirming that the funds granted were used for the intended purpose and provide impact data. Initial grants are one year in duration.
"We are thrilled about the latest wave of program support and the expanded opportunities to create a positive impact in the communities where our members live and work," expressed Mike Papantonakis, DMAR's Past President and Chair of the DMAR Gives Committee. "As responsible stewards of the Association's financial resources, DMAR has continued to implement measures to enhance expense management and cost control. These steps have enabled us to establish and provide more funding for DMAR Gives. This foundation has a dual mission: to offer assistance during times of disaster and to support housing-related 501(c)(3) charitable organizations in our local area. Currently, our focus is on fundraising efforts and soliciting grant applications from eligible charities.”
