Home prices are still rising, but relief for buyers is coming
Home prices continue to increase as national inventory levels remain low heading into August. But relief for buyers could be coming in the next 12 months. Home prices increased 2.3% from May to June, and 17.2% year-over-year, according to the latest CoreLogic report on home prices. However, CoreLogic officials said price gains could slow to as low as a 3.2%-gain by this time next year, as ongoing affordability challenges deter potential buyers — as well as an uptick in new for sale listings. Metro Denver’s housing market hits the brakes in July
Metro Denver’s housing market slowed in July, with closings down from June and the inventory of available homes remaining tight but rising at a record rate, according to the monthly Market Trends Report from the Denver Metro Association of Realtor®. Read More
DMAR Real Estate Market Trends Report | AUG. '21
While still in a robust seller's market, the July 2021 report indicates that as we head into fall, buyers will start to have more time to review properties and less competition on the number of offers overall. The July residential real estate market reported an increased inventory of 29.92 percent, while it also represented a decrease in closings of 12.30 percent compared to the previous month, indicating a supply increase and demand decrease. Where Did the Under $500,000 Homes Go? | Guest Post
The July DMAR Market Trends data was released this week, and there are two notable trends. First, when comparing 2021 to pre-COVID 2019, our seasonality is falling back into normal ranges. We have a healthy influx of listings up 8 percent, 2 percent more homes went under contract, and there were 7.5 percent more closings, yet we continue to see three times the price growth. Read More

Shauna Pugh - Managing Director at the RE-DOC Group at Compass
“I think what makes me stand out is my mission and true love for what real estate ownership means.”
Shauna Pugh first became obsessed with learning all of the tips and tricks to help buyers when she started her real estate career in Illinois in 2013 as a real estate investor and made a point to share all the available resources she could find. In 2016, she took part in the formation of a community program called "Project Rebound," which assists aspiring homeowners with the financial process. The program still stands in Illinois today!
In 2019 she transferred to Colorado and joined Compass through Chad Nash, the Real Estate Doctor powered by Compass, who has been an inspiring mentor to Shauna. “He does not need a team, as the production numbers speak for themselves; however, he takes the time to help new agents and mentor experienced agents and sows back into our communities.”
Shauna joined DMAR right when COVID-19 was making its mark, yet still feels very in the loop.
“The online trainings were orchestrated VERY well, and I have truly enjoyed every one I have been in. Transferring from a smaller market in Illinois to Denver was a huge adjustment for me and DMAR helped to make the transition much easier. From every training I've to every staff member I have talked to, each interaction with DMAR has aided me in becoming a more knowledgeable agent.”
