DMAR is introducing the first-ever DMAR Leadership Academy, a new program designed to build leaders poised for success in both professional and personal domains.
The DMAR Leadership Academy offers a comprehensive approach to leadership development, providing participants with profound insights into the Realtor® Association at all organizational levels. The program’s goal is to empower individuals to master political advocacy skills, refine public speaking and presentation techniques, cultivate relationships, build high-performing teams, and develop a better understanding of financial acumen, including budgeting and asset management.
Moreover, the DMAR Leadership Academy offers a unique opportunity for participants to network with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and take part in collaborative learning experiences. The belief behind the Academy is that by creating an environment conducive to growth and innovation, the program will empower participants to leverage their strengths, tackle challenges head-on, and make a lasting impact on the future of Realtor® organizations and their profession. Courses will be taught through a combination of expert guidance, hands-on activities, and real-world application.
"We believe in creating leaders who not only excel within DMAR but also enrich our communities," said Brendan Bailey, CEO at DMAR. "The DMAR Leadership Academy is what has borne from this commitment. The 10-month path is meticulously put together to equip the selected members with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to get ahead and explore other career paths in real estate or beyond. The program is specifically tailored for visionaries, problem solvers, and those who thrive on challenges.”
Participation in the DMAR Leadership Academy is open to all DMAR Realtor® and Industry Partner members in good standing. However, space is limited to no more than 25 attendees each year. Selected candidates must attend all sessions and pay a $499 tuition fee, covering sessions, handout materials, and meals. Travel arrangements and expenses for in-person sessions are the responsibility of the participant.
Applications are now being accepted through July 31, 2024. To apply, candidates must complete the application form and submit a professional letter of recommendation via email to DMAR’s Director of Member Services Lisa Kallweit at lkallweit@dmarealtors.com. Successful candidates will be notified by August 30, 2024.
