NARs Call to Action for Patent Troll Participation Lacking

One of the most important issues facing our industry currently is that of Patent Trolls. On Monday, July 13th NAR launched a Call for Action to all REALTORS® asking them to contact their Members of Congress and urge support for H.R. 9 - The Innovation Act, which offers a host of critical fixes to the problem of patent trolls.

Not everyone truly understands the issue or its impact on the real estate industry. If you're confused about Patent Trolls, The Denver Post recently published an article that gives a great overview of the issue and why it matters to REALTORS® and to our industry.

To date, 127,000 REALTORS® have responded to the current Patent Legislation Reform Call for Action. That may seem like a large number, but in reality that translates to a 13% response rate. Help us get to 20% by Labor Day! Nineteen states are already above 20% and Colorado needs to get there too.
