Denver home sales chill out in October​

October temperatures might have run on the mild side, but a big drop in sales and listings cast a chill on metro Denver’s housing market, according to a monthly update from the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS®. Buyers closed on 4,294 homes and condos last month, a decline of 17.5 percent from September and 11.4 percent fewer sales than in October 2015. October home price rise, easing election concerns

Whether Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump is victorious in Tuesday’s Presidential election, the real winners may be Denver-area homeowners. Home prices in the Denver area have risen an average of 8.3 percent during general election years, starting in 1992, according to an analysis of data released on Thursday by the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS®. 

Coldwell confirms luxury home sale record

A separate report by Kentwood Real Estate, as reported in Denver Real Estate Watch, showed a 37 percent year-over-year increase in luxury home sales, while a report from the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS® showed an 11.54 percent increase in luxury, single-family home sales in October from October 2015. 

MOI in Denver 2nd lowest in U.S.

MOIs are MIA in the Denver area. Months of inventory, a key metric for measuring the supply and demand in a market, in the Denver area stood at a mere 1.7 months last month, according to a recent report by the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS®. That is the lowest it has ever been for an October.
