"2016 is shaping up, for better or worse, to repeat last year's record-breaking totals," DMAR Market Trends Committee chairman Anthony Rael said in a statement. The number of new listings matched the pace seen in January 2015 and 2014. And by month's end, the active inventory of homes for sale remained super-tight.

Prices climbed 13 percent year-over-year on average, while the number of active listings under $300,000 remained low.
Denver Real Estate Watch
“As the city finds itself buried in a foot of snow, my fellow Realtors find ourselves wondering when the avalanche of new listings will make their way into our marketplace,” said Anthony Rael, Chairman of the DMAR Market Trends Committee and a Denver real estate agent.
Well-heeled buyers snapped up 91 luxury homes in the Denver area last month, an 85.7 percent jump from the 49 sales of homes priced at $1 million or more, according to a report released on Thursday by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Earlier reports by Kentwood Real Estate and the Denver Metro Association of Realtors showed similar trends.
