WHY: Join us for a very special Membership Meeting & Brunch to learn more about leadership opportunities within the Association, receive updates on DMAR's future plans, as well as hear from guest speaker Gary Kujawski, Education, Communication and Policy Manager with Colorado Division of Real Estate, DORA presenting on new Sunset Review updates and legislative developments regarding your license. We will also be taking a vote to pass our 2017 DMAR Bylaw Revisions. The brunch will cover important Association updates including:
- Amendments to the Association Bylaws, which will be presented and voted on by our REALTOR® members
- Opportunities for leadership positions within DMAR and how you can become an influencer in the Denver real estate community
- The state of DMAR since the successful merger with the Douglas Elbert REALTOR® Association seven months ago
- An overview of DMAR's accomplishments in 2016 and our plans for the future
- PLUS, A presentation by Gary Kujawski on the Sunset Review and legislative developments concerning your license

We will soon have 11 spots available on DMAR's Board of Directors, representing the Central, Douglas Elbert, North, South/East and West districts. Each opening is for varying terms which you can view, here. This is your chance to proudly represent the interests and concerns of your district. You'll be privy to the latest insider real estate news while being part of an influential team that drives our mission. In addition to candidates for a seat on the DMAR Board, openings will be available for candidates to run for CAR, NAR and REcolorado Director positions in the coming months.
Criteria to serve per the bylaws:
All nominees on the slate for the Board of Directors shall be:
- Voting members in good standing with a minimum of two years as a REALTOR® member
- Voting members in good standing of the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS® for a minimum of one year prior to the election date
- Reflective of the diversity of the REALTOR® membership
- Not associated with a physical office location that already has two members serving on the Board of Directors for the ensuing year, nor shall there be more than two nominees from any one office location, nor shall there be more than one nominee from a physical office location that has a member serving for the ensuing year.
