Over the past few months, DMAR’s Government Affairs Committee (GAC) interviewed candidates running in local races to discuss their positions on key REALTOR® issues including property rights, affordable housing, construction defects and development. The interview process is an invaluable experience that allows DMAR members to build relationships with candidates that are friendly to the real estate industry.
Based on candidate questionnaires and the interview process, the GAC and Board of Directors recommended the Association endorse the candidates below. DMAR also recommended support for two ballot initiatives this November. As a member of DMAR, we hope you will join us in supporting the following candidates and initiatives by voting for them this November:

Better Roads Arvada
A half-cent sales-and-use tax increase, the proceeds of which will be used for street maintenance and improvement projects in the city. The increase would amount to 5 cents on a $10 purchase and would increase street maintenance funding — to repair potholes and sidewalks — by as much as $10 million per year.
