On January 11, over 350 REALTORS®, agents and spectators filled the seats of our sold-out 2018 Economic Summit.

The event was moderated by Denver Business Journal’s past real estate reporter, Molly Ambrister, and focused on local, state and national economic trends in terms of population, jobs and real estate. “If someone at the supermarket asks you what the Denver real estate market looks like, we hope this event will help you answer it,” said DMAR chairman, Steve Thayer.

Three expert panelists spoke at the event including: Steve Danyliw, Chairman of the DMAR Market Trends Committee; Patricia Silverstein, President and Chief Economist of Development Research Partners; and Elliot F. Eisenberg, Ph.D. President of GraphsandLaughs.

“Last year was a big year for Denver and we broke many records, some all-time highs and some all-time lows for real estate,” said Danyliw.

“The U.S. economy is in the 7th inning of a ballgame…. and economies don’t die of old age, it takes a specific incident or shift to make change,” said Dr. Eisenberg when discussing the national economic landscape. “Things are good, they will continue to be good, but considering how great they are right now, they might be a little less good moving forward."
