Financial Assistance | Guest Post

Nicole Rueth

In the real estate world, especially in Colorado, we know how hard some of our clients work to save up for their dream home. We know that it can often feel like an impossible gap between what someone has saved or can even afford, and what they need to purchase a home in Colorado. That’s why being educated in financial assistance is so crucial for our own success, as well as that of our clients. When we know our stuff, we can help equip our home buyers to get the financing they need.

In the month of September, the Rueth team has taken this to heart and we have been offering financial assistance to our teachers and first responders who are looking to get a home loan. Often these two categories of professionals have the hardest time finding a home they can afford IN their own community where they serve. In a 2018 study by Redfin, 11.5 percent of all homes for sale across 28 metros were affordable on an average teacher's salary of $62,860. That’s a huge gap that we have the opportunity to fill!

If you know someone who fits the teacher or first responder criteria, please send them our way to get $750 toward closing costs or their appraisal. This is going on through the end of this month.  However, even if it’s next month or sometime after that, we have a huge list of re-sources we can look to for financial assistance programs. Talk to our team to see how you could be helping your own clients make their dreams a reality!
